Week 20.5 – When The Body Becomes The Mind, We Are In a Habit

Rewire Your Brain

A habit is something that we do without thinking.

As Dr. Joe Dispenza states in this video, “When The Body Becomes The Mind, We Are In a Habit” . I take that to mean that when we have allowed or purposely programmed our chemical body sufficiently to the point where it no longer needs our brain to execute or choose a response, we no have a habit; for good or bad. The body does not care if it is a positive habit or a negative one at this point. It only knows that a set of circumstances trigger a response and that judgement is no longer necessary.

Can you imagine how our mind atrophies (shrinks) the more we reduce the need to make our own, conscious decisions? Can you say the size of a proverbial pea? This is not what we were designed to do and more importantly, this path of of least resistance and the least amount of growth and accomplishment. As Dr Joe says, “when we can’t think any greater than how we feel, we will never change.” I would qualify that to say we will never change for the betterment of ourselves or others.

If you’ll what and listen carefully, the Doctor speaks of the sub-vocalizations, mental chatter and self-talk that the body and brain conjure to discourage us from follow-thru with our commitments to change. Note that he says we often will hear internal rationalizations like you can start tomorrow, you are unworthy, this doesn’t feel right and the like. If we have become the master observer, we can take this as confirmation that we are nearing the abyss spoken of by Joseph Campbell that occurs at the base of the circular cycle. Rejoice, you are getting near the part where things get better!! This most certainly will not be the end of the chatter but, you have the Law of Substitution and the Law of Dual thought to aid in your efforts to change back to proper way to use your mind and for the body to follow, not to be the master of the system. To allow the body to rule the mind is the path to taking what fate and others hand you only to be constantly disappointed.

This week we spoke of the using negative emotions like fear, anger, guilt, unworthiness and hurt feelings as tools to help us in regaining control of our our body by using our mind. So, out comes the skills bag… We use our skills of observation and introspection (i.e. the SIT) to determine when, why and what triggers our negative emotions. Now we use our skills of tracing effects back to their root cause. Here is the key, we now apply our two favorite laws of the Seven Laws of the Mind (Law of Substitution and the Law of Dual thought) and whalla!!, reverse the perverse! Sorry, I just had the rhyme strike me as an opportunity for lifting the mood a bit (too much hard mental effort). The meaning of perverse I am using is this… (adjective) “(of a person or their actions) showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable, often in spite of the consequences.”

We know what the consequences will be in this case because we are currently or recently have been living in the consequences or effects of our own making. It is these consequences we have all chosen to leave behind and replace with better and sunnier climes.

Let Dr Joe cap this discussion off. Listen, rewind and listen again to his description of True Self-Love. I think you will get the same charge from it as I did as we are human and things that inspire often evoke similar chemicals in all of us. The transmutation of anger, fear, anxiety and guilt harbored in the fiber of the body can be liberated only by the mind. Ladies and gentlemen, we are here to liberate ourselves from flesh and return to a mindful state of control and creation. Doesn’t that fill you with the same hope and faith as it does me? doesn’t it feel true and real? Do you hear the call to your Hero’s Journey? Listen… all real principle and truth comes in the Silence, the SIT.

  1. Well said Robert!
I have never really noticed how I do rarely use negative emotions to help me charge forward, this week I have noticed both times I’ve done it… and times where I faltered, and gave in to my old blue print.. At first I was stoked (happy) that I recognized this…. As the week wore on I saw patterns… which didn’t feel so amazing. That’s why we practice the 5 O’s. :0)

    1. Krystal, I am really taking a look at these emotions and the tools they evoke as I feel that they are going to be one of my best paths toward keeping my 7 day mental diet as I progress and go through additional iterations. Mahalo!

  2. During the most recent mastermind session with my two mastermind partners, I repeated the quote created by Wayne Dyer: “when we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.”

One of my two partners then commented that, yes, as we change the way we perceive our environment, this perceptual shift will make the environment look differently – as if it had changed. Yet as Dr. Dispenza points out, and MKMMA points out, the environmental changes occurring are far more than purely perceptual in nature. Indeed, big changes, massive changes, are just one big thought away – and the idea you’ve adopted that the transmutation of emotions using the totals we’ve been given is a way to liberate the mind from our body’s control, and thus help advance us in our hero’s journey is about to get that rocket fuel juice kind of boost that I think you are sensing. I’ll say no more than that. Bravo!!!

    1. Loren, the cryptography is intriguing to say the least. Luckily, my secret decoder ring this week is functioning at full power. As Robert Rea is so skilled at doing, I’m just living in the moment and choosing not to anticipate tomorrow or fret about spilled milk on yesterdays breakfast table. Life gets so much easier when only dealing with the here and now.

Thank you as always for your dedicated patronage of my blog posts. If were only so consistent, my progress forward would be much more rapid to say the least! Mahalo 🙂

  3. I would like to add, if everyone’s “dedicated patronage of” your blog posts.”were only so consistent,” everyone’s “progress forward would be much more rapid to say the least! Mahalo 🙂
