Familiar Routines and Habits

Familiar routines seem to be the basis for many successful people in business. Tom Corley, in his book titled “Change Your Habits, Change Your Life” says, “Most self-made millionaires don’t end up rich accidentally, Corley’s research finds. They make plans. His studies found that eighty percent of the wealthy are “obsessed with pursuing goals,” he writes. They refer to both daily and long-term goals regularly.

Og Mandino in his book The Greatest Salesman in the World admonishes us to replace our bad habits with good as that is the only pathway to success. Further, Charles F. Haanel in the Master Key System states in paragraph 2 of Part 1, “Mind is creative, and conditions, environment and all experiences in life are the result of our habitual or predominant mental attitude.”

It really is simple, thoughts become the things we think about inhabit both our mind, and the subconscious helps them materialize into our world. Henry Ford thought during his every waking and sleeping hour on his first car, how it was to be made and what problems he had to overcome to Familiar Routines - Elon Musk - SpaceXachieve his goal of bringing an inexpensive vehicle to the masses. Elon Musk via his companies Tesla and SpaceX is totally obsessed with, and generating products that push the edge of technology with each coming day.

So, we have contemporary evidence that Thinkers are Creators. Just as was posted on this blog earlier, Warren Buffett adheres to his familiar routines of reading, sitting and thinking to generate his ideas to advance his investments and accomplishments.

So, when you start thinking that Napoleon Hill, Emerson. Mandino or Haanel are a bit fruity, just look at what Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett or Elon Musk are doing today and silence your subby’s disbelief! The Secret is no secret, there are just many disbelievers who fail to put forth the hard mental effort to develop good daily Routines or “Habits” to replace their bad ones and thus move nearer to their goals while avoiding the habit of failure.

The Search for Self Confidence

Self confidence exercises combined with positive thinking queues from within the Master Key Master Mind Alliance training has been a great start to my new life as a self-direct conscious being. I know that sounds a bit odd but, let share with you what I mean.

Most people on this planet walk around, going through their daily grind asleep; yes, nearly on autopilot and certainly without recognizing most of what they are doing. More importantly, many live a life of “quiet desperation” talking to themselves in the most derogatory terms that they would never use with a loved one, their favorite pet or even most strangers. It would be clearly recognized as rude, anti-social and likely not be tolerated. Yet, we call ourselves names, curse, threaten and degrade our performance on a regular basis.

Self-confidence is obviously a fantasy… Given the 24-7 onslaught from none other than, you guessed it, YOU!

If you are not a part of this self-flagellating crowd, I am happy beyond words for you and for those around you as they flock to see what makes you tick, and observe in hopes that some of that self-assurance (likely seen as bravado) will rub off on them and they too can enjoy the glow that eliminates from that light from within.

 

For the rest of you, you probably have tried a multitude of course, books, yoga, meditation, scriptures and maybe even spent thousands on a weekend retreat or two with some guru who said he or she had the path to discover your purpose and align yourself with your inner being. Guess what… the moment you left that nurturing environment, you crumpled under your own criticisms. Am I right? Take solace in the fact that you are most certainly not alone!

5 Daily Habits

Here are 5 self confidence solutions you can try today, and continue as a daily habit to build your confidence like putting one foot in front of the other…

  1. Reflect on a wonderful moment from the past 24 hrs. You will be amazed at how you will begin to find more and more of them to fill your mind with self confidence that, in fact, your life is not going to hell in a handbasket or better still you’ll find little successes that lead to greater ones over time.
  2. Write down 3 things you are grateful for in your life or that you have accomplished. These can be little things like your husband rinsed his dish before putting it into the dishwasher, your son or daughter asked for your help in doing their homework or practicing shooting hoops. For me, I tend to see the wonder in nature and am grateful every morning for some fantastic songbird greeting me as I rise to a new day.
  3. Do something physical, exercise a bit. It doesn’t need to be hitting the gym for a full on session it can be as simple as walking up the stairs in your house and then down and up again. Just something the you can take satisfaction in that you accomplished again for you.
  4. Now, find someone for whom you can perform any simple and random act of kindness for. Smile at someone; who knows, you may be the warmth that turns a cold day into blissful sunshine for another. Hug your kids longer before they leave for school. Maybe a bit longer of a welcome home kiss for your wife or husband (or boyfriend/girlfriend). If you can find a way to do something without them knowing it was you, it is even better. It’s good to have secrets related to doing things for others and not getting credit for it. Karma pays dividends in so many ways…
  5. Last but, my favorite, take time to sit and think in a quiet place all to your self. In the book The Master Key System by Charles F Haanel, Part 12-25 he says, “The intention governs the attention. Power comes from repose.” In the Master Mind we call this time our “Sacred Sit”, the last thing we do before going to bed so our mind is clear and focused ready for a night of rest and open for intuition. You would be amazed at what a little alone thinking time will do to build your inner strength. Push back on the pressures and just settle into clear and focused thought on asking for the answers you need to live your life in balance and on purpose.

These 5 daily habits (yes, you must do them long enough to become habits) will boost your self confidence and increase positive thinking in subtle and small ways until one day, you come to recognize the simplicity of it all.

This is how is was for me. Going through the Master Key Master Mind Alliance course, over 6 months of 3 times a day tasks, exercises and remoulding my mental blueprint has set me on the road I have been searching for most of my adult life.

Challenges seem smaller, partnership failures shrink to their proportionate size and the richness of my simple life, nature and close relationships expand to make me so grateful I am alive and making progress towards my goals.

As Seneca once said,

Week 23A – Boundaries, You Might Be A Mini-Me

Healthy boundaries are, or rather have been an enigma to me. I’m risk here and be absolutely transparent like tissue paper… I have weak boundaries. I feel like I’m at the lectern in an AA meeting, and just as sober as though I’m a regular.

As Teal Swan shares in this video called “I Can Have Me and I Can Have You Too”, I tend to “cave” and let my boundaries be broken and disregarded. The MKMMA experience is helping me become a much better observer of my existing blueprint in this respect. I have 50+ years of programming to break down so it takes every day being conscious and observant to ferret out these tendencies, and expose them like film lying in the activating chemicals that bring the images to life.

In our Silence exercise, I was amazed that I spent much of my time contending with “monkey mind”. That state of thought described as running around in your head being unable to concentrate and focus on one thing. This week, in combination with the emotional exercises, I came to recognize that the list of things that drove me nearly crazy were all lists of duties and commitments to other people (many of which violated my boundaries). These are old counter-productive habits, that need to be eradicated.  Their extinction will bring me more health and an Acceptance/Defenselessness attitude to be more in alignment with the Law of Least Effort.

This last week with Scroll VI I’ll be watching to see why I might feel Sad, or Depressed of worst of all because it is the “opposite of money consciousness” as Haanel puts it. I know I have the tools to change it but, driving to the root and learning how to proactively build a new blueprint that supports my emotional system is where I want to be. More than anything, I want to be a solid, assertive and well-balance individual, capable of being alone all the while happy to be a part of the larger Universal plan as well. Is this not fulfilling my purpose? I am coming to realize that “Money has no value except to bring about the conditions we desire, and these conditions are necessarily harmonious. Harmonious conditions necessitate sufficient supply, so that if there appears to be any lack, we should realize that the idea or soul of money is service, and as this thought takes form, channels of supply will be opened, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that spiritual methods are entirely practical.” ~ Charles F Haanel

I hope you and I both are able to find and strike that balance that makes us both happy with ourselves, responsible yet not self-critical and supportive of others through service as our spirit beckons us to be and thus fulfill our purpose.

Week 22 – Emotions That Set The Tone

Have you ever gotten up, first thing in the morning and felt a surge of emotions that set the tone for your whole day? It seems they come from nowhere and leave debris and the potential for failure in accomplishing anything of value for that day which once held so much hope for improvement and accomplishment.

We’ve all had them; you are not alone. This past week, I had one of those days and it went from just a glum day to worse. The next day was a the day we switched from reading Og Mandino’s Scroll V to Scroll VI. I saw the phrase “Today I Will Be Master of My Emotions” and burst out laughing had just the prior day been such an obvious hint from one smarter than I.

The lessons did not stop there. Several times this week, business (in particular) delivered me opportunity to observe and reflect on how my emotions set the tone for my interactions and reactions throughout the day to situations for which I had no control. The only control I had was in my response. I am happy to say, after the slap and the training from Mandino, I’ve been quite even-keeled this week and am grateful beyond measure for the tools shared in this Scroll VI.

For example, Og Mandino points out there are two sets of emotions that can set the table for outburst or just poor performance in the day and worse, set a trend that takes far more effort to reverse. These two types of performance-degrading emotions are those that sap our energy (negative emotions) and those wherein we let our Ego diminish our ability to clearly observe and control our responses.

Christie Marie Sheldon discusses how in her energy healing practice, she has developed a mapping of what she calls “Love or Above” scale that helps her, and her clients define their emotions and the vibrational influences they are experiencing. Click here to listen to her description of what she observed. Please note that this week we started on Charles F Haanel’s Part 22 in which he shares the health impacts of vibration. The gist of what he said is vibration is the cause of all states of matter including the human state of health or lack of health called disease. If you speak to any scientist, especially a scientist studying Quantum Physics (Check out the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know-Down the Rabbit Hole“), he or she will emphatically agree that vibration and energy (reflected or observed as vibration) is the cause of anything we can observe, quantify and measure; it is reality. This is why this is so important to understand and maintain control of our vibrational state, i.e. our moods and it effects our outcomes and can change what we manifest in our lives. Here is the chart Christine uses to educate clients about moods, vibration and their emotional states.

Scale Of ConsciousnessChristie Marie Sheldon points out that expanding and being the proper environment in which abundance and expand is at the vibration of 500 +, therefore, Love or Above.

Another form of this chart is below and maps to the chakras; the energy centers of the body from eastern schools of medicine. Please note that colors, as in the rainbow and the chakras, are all the wave form of vibration and energy states. Gas Chromatography, for example, aids scientist in determining what atomic elements are found on distant planets and in chemicals which they may want to use in drugs to helps someone heal. It can also be used in a lab to determine certain diseases or have foreign substances in your body that may be causing disease. All this from vibration, color and energy observed.

 

You have this power as well. They are your emotions and if you, like a scientist, non-judgmentally observe and map the ebb and flow of your states, you can be Master of Your Emotions and your outer world, i.e. matter.

Use a sit and think on the ramifications of the second class of emotions Mandino speaks of, those I have classified as the Ego-based emotions. In my opinion, they are self-deceptions that subby uses to keep us in the comfort zone. Another name for the comfort zone is the “Zone of No Growth”, the “Status Quo”. That which is not growing or maturing, is dying and decays.

One thing that has stuck with me over the past week has been the quote which I believe I heard on one of our mastermind calls that said, “The meaning of life is to find your gifts, the purpose in life is to give them away.” I’ll pose the question and let you contemplate in silence… If you are in an emotional state that is contracting, have you anything of value to give to others? Does this not make it our responsibility to control our emotions and thus rise to Love or Above and be generous in blessing others with our gifts?

Week 20 – You Wake Up Suddenly and You’re In Life

I was listening to some really beautiful music and suddenly I saw a new perspective to the lyrics. Given what we have been learning with the Master Key System, suddenly I see that the love I would be singing of would be my renewed love of life. New warmth, kindnesses and observations that make all I see new. It’s just like the first crush; life can be a new experience if, like my master mind friend Robert Rea [Week 19 – So many things Touch ME] urges all he meets to maintain focus on only the moment we are in.

Robert has been able to not only adopt but, more so infuse his entire being with the teaching of Haanel and Og Mandino to the point that people sense his power whenever he is near. Is not this the light shining on a hill that the carpenter from Galilee spoke of. There are many in our midst to emulate, teachers to learn from and brothers and sisters who are on the same “dynamic flow of giving and receiving” we’ve all been yearning for.

Reflect again back to the lyrics and rhythm of Billy Ocean’s song and find the emotions he’s sharing, replace the word love with “Love of Life” where it fits and find your own meaning. The woman he’s courting is the newly revealed golden Buddha, it’s the real you. It’s our future friend from our Thursday night dates.

Now I’m really going to stretch you. Think of the 99.99% nothingness within the atoms that make up all matter, including your body and mine. Haanel tells us that matter is not the ideal MIND is the ideal and is the cause for every effect. As that is the case, then the positive side of all contrasts are the positive polarity we are seeking.

If we are to give more to get more then, to give it to whom? With Emerson’s Law of Compensation, who are we really giving to or taking from if we are in our negative aspect? This yet unnamed love is ourselves via the universal. Now, go through these lyrics again and see if your perspective as the observer has changed, it did for me. Forgiveness had logic not surrender and loss of ego, life had power multiplied like taffy folder over and over on itself to the perfect texture and like this song, waves on the shore I feel a perfect, rhythmic ebb and flow to every effect I create with my mind; the one and only Cause.

Week 16 – Persistent Continuous Action

Persistent Continuous Action

This past week, I have been rather introspective and thinking back on my journey with the Master Key System (MKMMA). A few things struct me as things I need to keep embedding into my mind such that they become the core around which I continue these exercises and mindsets in support of my current and future success.

First was in Haanel‘s sixteenth chapter, the start of the seventh verse, “The man of success is the man possessed of the greatest spiritual understanding and every great fortune comes of superior and truly spiritual power.” ~ Prentice Mulford Next was verse 8 where he says, “The power to create depends entirely upon spiritual power; there are three steps, idealization, visualization and materialization. Every captain of industry depends upon this power exclusively.” Captains like these are persistent and do not waver in the face of adversity or opposition, they make progress forward each day toward the goal no matter how small an increment that may be.

 

These two coupled with the first of the Blueprint Builder daily affirmations; “… I demand of myself Persistent, Continuous, Action towards it’s Attainment, and I here and now Promise to render such action.” hit me as the simplicity of it all. (Napoleon Hill)

Note that it does not say, there must be pain to gain “materialization” of your definite major purpose, rather it says it takes “Persistent, Continuous, Action”. I put to you that it is the quiet heroes who win mighty challenges every day. Much like our challenge this past week to find Kindness and to secretly be kind to others, these moments are how we build our lives and rebuild our old blueprints into our “Ideal” blueprints which subby will deliver without question or insistence once reprogrammed.

Basics, core ideals, values and consistent daily actions in support of those ideas build a life we all feel as the “flame which has been passed from generations uncounted and its heat is constant irritation to my spirit to become better than I am”, and I Am.

So, I promise, whenever I sense a slippage or a weakening of my commitment my response from here forward to turn to this key mandate of “Persistent, Continuous, Action” combined with repose and solitude to ideate on my ideal. Anticlimactic I know but, life need not have such wild gyrations rather my ideal life is calm, filled with kindness and a consistent drawing of uplifting and helpful people and needed resources toward me and the achievements I have crafted as my new blueprint.

Week 13 – Realize Your Unity With Omnipotence

Mercury Persistently Seeks Unity

Week twelve’s exercise asked that we “Realize your unity with omnipotence”. In week thirteen, we are told that “when you come into the realization of the fact that you, not your body but the Ego, the “I”, the spirit which thinks, is an integral part of the great whole, that it is the same substance, in quality, in kind, that the Creator could create nothing different from Himself” (The Master Key SystemCharles F Haanel). So why have two consecutive chapter exercises been guiding us to a vision that we are in fact, part of a great universal oneness? It seems Haanel thought important enough to say and train on the matter repeatedly, i.e. help us practice this specific thought. To what end.

Now watch these two Tedx talks and define the the truth related to lessons we are learning from Haanel’s and our Master Key Alliance each video exposes in their own unique way and from their own perspectives…

Now, let’s consider the final phrase from our Magician friend Brian Miller; “our world is a shared experience, fractured by individual experience”. Is he not saying that unity and the universal is from where we came and our destiny or rather our perfect state is one devoid of Ego. Like Ed, the blind man who howled with laughter and pride in knowing the simple signals and how to respond to Brian’s questions about color or each card, we now have “signals” to respond or substitute more appropriate and correct thoughts in order to bring ourselves nearer to unity with the universal. Imagine his joy and confidence in becoming one with Brian, the source of the signals…

What a slap to the forehead! So, like mercury being drawn back to itself, only Ego blocks our unity. The desire to be separate even superior needs to be eliminated. The mental diet is the exercise to strip us of Ego thus affording us the pure attraction back to our perfection. Going back to 12.18 (Chapter 12, paragraph 18) in the Master Key System where it says, “the principle which gives the thought dynamic power to correlate with its object, and therefore to master every adverse human experience, is the law of attraction, which is another name for love”.

I’ve always been more open and generous around this time of year, the warm fuzzy feelings and of course the sappy movies depicting renewal of relationships, kindness and the setting aside of Ego as in one my favorite of movies Scrooge. During the holiday season, I can set aside some of my own scrooge-like behaviors of being solitary and focused on business and getting things done and rally to the Christmas spirit.

Now I know it is much more than that and that the camouflage is totally unnecessary; those with whom I mastermind here in the Master Key Experience and those with whom I network in my business are very much like me. Like Brian said in the video, this world is a shared experience, rich with colors, smells, sights, sounds and flavors. The Master Key System is teaching us how to allow the mercury to find our own and experience the oneness with our purpose and our universal power.

Secondly, the Go90Grow experience being predicated on the above helps us avoid the Ego and Limbic alert systems such that we can find and rally the hero in our fellow human beings, who are also fractured parts of the universal to which we all belong. As Mark E. Sackett stated in his talk, 70% of us (these disparate parts of the universal mind) are not living in our passion. Many don’t even dare to ask themselves what they want. The pull toward the rest of the mercury seems a self-indulgent sin, It is Not! We are serving our fellow members of the universal and giving them a tremendous gift by inviting them to take the hero’s journey and live their lives, from their own perspective and not the blueprints of others running like robots, preprogrammed and dead many years prior to our eventual burial.

Either way, and via either of these course, we become the forward troops to a cause, that only deities have dared to dream! Can you feel it? The excitement of being some of the first to really understand what reward awaits the hours of hard mental work and effort… it’s your DMP!
